1. Oxford vaccine to be approved next week

The coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University and Astra Zeneca is expected to win approval within days. Senior government officials expect the drugs watchdog to give the green light by Thursday. The head of the drugs giant said it “should be” effective against the highly transmissible new strain of the virus. It can be stored in a fridge and costs as little as £2 a shot.
