Revealed at a ceremony last night Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie says that the “big and blingy” rings are fitting for the NFL franchise’s historic Super Bowl LII victory.

Featuring 219 diamonds and 17 rare green sapphires, Lurie wants the Eagles stars to wear the ring with pride. He said: “For the people putting the ring on, I want them to feel a sense of pride and a love for the process. Pride in that they are a world champion and an acknowledgment that this process, the entire season, was so much hard work, resilience, love for each other, and a sense of passion for the game.”

Made of pure 10-karat white gold, the ring design also features the following:

  • 52 pave-set diamonds in the eagle head logo to signify Super Bowl 52
  • 16 diamonds in the Lombardi Trophy for each of the team’s victories during the season
  • 13 diamonds to represent a franchise-record-tying 13 wins in the regular season
  • Three diamonds at the top of the Lombardi Trophy to represent the three post-season wins
  • One marquise-cut diamond to represent the first Super Bowl championship
