Man overboard survives by inflating his jeans

A German yachtsman survived three hours in the sea after being knocked overboard by inflating his trousers. Arne Murke created an improvised life vest by tying knots at the end of the legs after getting air inside the strides. “Without the jeans I wouldn’t be here today,” he said. “They were really the thing that saved me.”

‘Angel’ hovers over US city

Images of an ‘angel’ hovering in sky above New Windsor, New York, has caused much excitement. “It’s too big to be a bird and you can’t even see it from the ground,” said the limo driver who snapped a photo and video of the item. An online commenter remarked: “I hope it was an angel. We could use that kind of help in this hour.”

Judge women by their nails, says author

A California man has published a booklet arguing that the key to understanding women's personalities is how they choose to do their nails. The book, called Nails At First Sight, is a “fool-proof” guide explaining how the colour, shape, and length of a woman’s nails indicate whether she is dangerous.
