Workers at service station between Horsham and Crawley have been threatened with toilet brush during what they described as a “slight misunderstanding” over social distancing in the bathrooms. Inspector Darren Taylor said: “How the toilet brush became embroiled into it we really don’t know.” The toilet brush has now been returned to its cubicle, he added.
Man buys 25 identical lottery tickets and his numbers come up
A US man struck very lucky when he bought 25 identical lottery tickets for the same draw and won 25 times for a total prize of $125,000 (£95,000). Raymond Harrington says he decided to buy 25 tickets for the July 17 draw when “something just told me to play 25 times”. His hunch was a good one because Harrington's number combination came up: 4-6-4-0.

Judge sworn in in middle of ultramarathon
The new Supreme Court Justice for Wisconsin was sworn into office mid-way through a 100-mile ultramarathon. Jill Karofsky was sworn in on Saturday at the 35-mile marker of her route in south-central Wisconsin. State Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Dallet administered the oath of office in Basco.
