A new exotic pet trend is sweeping through southeast Asia, as people seek to own a small-clawed otter. The animals cost thousands of dollars each to purchase, and officials are concerned that the otters are being stolen by poachers from the wild in Indonesia, Thailand, and other countries to sell in Japan.
Funeral urn contained cocaine, not ashes
A Wisconsin man us facing up to 40 years in prison, after he was caught with an urn in the boot of his car which contained 135 grams of cocaine. When questioned by police at the scene, 36-year-old Kellen Horn told officers the urn contained the ashes of his dead father.

Man believed murdered brother was a lizard
A 26-year-old Seattle man has been charged with murder after he called 911 claiming to have killed his brother because “God told me he was a lizard”. Police arrived at the home to find the man’s brother “obviously deceased”, with a 1.2-metre sword “through his head”.
