A runner was forced to choke a mountain lion to death, after the animal attacked him while he was jogging in the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space near Fort Collins, Colorado. The runner suffered serious injuries when the 77-pound lion attacked, but he managed to kill the animal in self defence before seeking medical help.
Texas man killed by exploding vape pen
A 24-year-old Texas man has died after his vape pen exploded, slicing open his carotid artery. According to the victim’s grandmother, the pen malfunctioned while he was sitting in her car, exploding with enough force to lodge parts of the device in the man’s face and neck. He died in hospital two days after the incident occurred.

Canadian police apologise for fake drug claim
Canadian police have issued an apology, after falsely claiming that a popular brand of bubble gum had been tainted with Fentanyl. The warning came after a man was revived after overdosing, and was found to be carrying the bubble gum, which tested positive for the drug. Police revised their warning after it became clear the man was simply carrying the drug in the bubble gum container.
