Hazard: no to United and Zidane, ‘why not?’ to Real

Zinedine Zidane is reportedly one of the candidates for the permanent manager’s job at Man Utd. But one player who will not be joining the Red Devils is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, even if Zizou does. The Belgian told France Football: “If he goes to Manchester tomorrow, for instance, I will not be going there.” However, ESPN reports that Hazard has not ruled out a move to Real Madrid. “Why not?” he said.

Hudson-Odoi to reject contract

Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to turn down a new contract worth £85,000 a week. Bayern Munich want to sign the 18-year-old winger and have made four bids. (Sky Sports News)

Bayern eye Man City starlet

Another Premier League youngster on Bayern Munich’s radar is Manchester City’s Rabbi Matondo. The Welshman, 18, is out of contract next season and Bayern are ready to launch a £10m bid. (The Sun)

City ‘give up’ on De Jong

Man City have “given up hope” of signing Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong. French champions Paris Saint-Germain are favourites to land the highly-rated 21-year-old who is also wanted by Barcelona. (Metro)

Janssen in demand, but not at Spurs

Tottenham may be without a number of attackers but one striker who won’t be called upon is Vincent Janssen. The Netherlands international is not in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and is available for around £15m. ESPN says there is interest in the 24-year-old from clubs in Europe, China and Major League Soccer while the Daily Mail reports that Burnley could make a move.

Carroll not on the target list

Yesterday it was reported that Tottenham were interested in West Ham striker Andy Carroll, but it’s understood that the 30-year-old is not on their target list this month. (Sky Sports)

Audero to replace Cech?

With Petr Cech announcing that he will retire at the end of the season Arsenal will be in need of a goalkeeper to rival Bernd Leno. According to reports in Italy the Gunners are keen on Juventus keeper Emil Audero. He is currently on loan at Sampdoria but will be a free agent this summer. (Metro)

Arsenal have made contact with Real Madrid about a potential loan deal for James Rodriguez. The Colombia international is currently on loan at Bayern Munich. (Independent)
