Women for Women International
Provides women survivors of war and civil strife with financial aid and emotional support
Women for Women International (WfWI) works to provide women survivors of war and civil strife with resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency. WfWI delivers these resources through a year-long programme that begins with financial aid and emotional support. Participants learn about their legal rights; receive training in health awareness, numeracy, budgeting and saving, decision-making and negotiation, and civic participation; learn business and vocational skills; and gain access to income-generating activities. WfWI works in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the DRC, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan.
Sponsor a woman through the one-year programme for £22 per month. For more information, go to www.womenforwomen.org.uk or follow us on @womenforwomenUK.
