Vice President Biden got weird at the Senate swearing-in events

Fulfilling his true role as America's inappropriate uncle, Vice President Joe Biden was observed making members of incoming Senators' families pretty uncomfortable during yesterday's swearing-in ceremonies. First there was this interaction with Sen. Chris Coons' daughter, who shies away from Biden as he whispers in her ear and then goes in for a kiss (full video here):

The Veep also got a little handsy with the teenage daughter of Sen. Joni Ernst, to whom he commented, "How old are you? 15? I hope Mom has a big fence."

Other comments include "Oh man, this is boring, boring, boring. Can I borrow your hat?" said to a young boy, and "I may be Irish, but I'm not stupid," to Sen. Lindsey Graham.
