Arkansas' ballots in Tuesday's midterm elections included a measure that would have ended the state's dry spell, but the Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Amendment failed 57 percent to 43 percent.

A similar measure on alcohol sales failed in Hartselle, Alabama, for the fourth time in 12 years.
