Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is pouring money into a handful of tight Senate races with one week left until the midterm elections.
RAND PAC will spend six figures on TV and web ads for Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts (R), who is in danger of losing his seat to independent Greg Orman. And it will dump $16,000 into each of four other key races in Iowa, Kentucky, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. In addition to helping Republicans try to recapture the Senate, shoring up the party's candidates could ingratiate Paul with his fellow GOPers ahead of Paul's presumed White House bid.
The latest FiveThirtyEight forecast has the GOP as a two-to-one favorite to win control of the Senate next week.
