President Obama announced Friday that Ron Klain will be the administration's "Ebola czar" and will be responsible for the "whole of government Ebola response."
Klain was previously Vice President Joe Biden's chief of staff from 2009 to 2011 and helped Obama prepare for presidential debates. He is currently the president of Case Holdings and the general counsel of Revolution, an investment firm.
The announcement comes as the government monitors a Dallas health-care worker who handled Ebola samples. While she has so far showed no Ebola symptoms, she has self-quarantined on board a cruise ship.
