CBS Sports will air the first all-female sports talk show, starting this fall
Move over, Michael Wilbon.
CBS Sports confirmed to The Big Lead today that it will begin airing the first weekly, all-female sports talk show ever this fall on CBS Sports Network. The show will also be produced and directed by women, according to the network.
The announcement then lost a little bit of luster by describing the still-under-wraps format as "something akin to The View meets Pardon the Interruption." (Seriously: Would you ever see a male-led sports talk show described as "akin to The View"?) Still, it's a big step forward at a time when many in the industry have been asking where all the female sports pundits are (on CBS Sports Network, starting this fall, apparently).

As for the show's hosts, regulars, etc., that too was supposed to remain confidential, according to The Big Lead, but names reportedly up for consideration include Lesley Visser (a CBS Sports veteran), Dana Jacobson (an ESPN alum), Amy Trask (an NFL analyst for CBS), and sideline reporters Allie LaForce, Tracy Wolfson, and Jenny Dell.
"It's long overdue," David Berson, the president of CBS Sports, said.
We'll find out if the show can last when it airs later this fall.
