Pope Francis led a two-hour-long Mass on Sunday in his first public appearance since abruptly canceling an event earlier this week due to illness.
On Friday, the Pope canceled a visit to a hospital in Rome due to what the Vatican called an "unexpected indisposition." It was the third time in a month the 77-year-old Pope skipped or pared back a commitment due to a reported health issue. Though the Vatican insisted the Pope was only dealing with "mild" health problems, the spate of cancelations prompted questions about whether His Holiness was suffering from something more serious.
