Fresh off terminating her quixotic Senate bid, Liz Cheney pushed back against House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) assertion that her father set a torture-happy "tone and an attitude" for the CIA during the Bush presidency. Appearing on Fox & Friends Tuesday, Cheney said Pelosi was trying to "cast blame and say things that aren't true" about those who promoted the spy agency's harsh interrogation practices.
"When I heard those comments yesterday, I was reminded of something that Margaret Thatcher once said about one of her political opponents," Cheney said. "You know, Mrs. Pelosi's problem is that her spine doesn't seem to reach her brain."
