The Daily Show mocks Fox News' Muslim-only 'no-go zones' debacle

Last weekend, Fox News did something Jon Stewart didn't think possible: It apologized, multiple times, for giving unchallenged air time to a terrorism "expert" who claimed that Europe has hundreds of Muslim-only "no-go zones," where Muslim sharia law rules and non-Muslims (and police) never visit. Wow, he said on Tuesday night's Daily Show. "How bad does bullshit have to smell before the odor is detected by people who live on a mountain made of that substance?"

But the "no-go zones" debacle (since picked up by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal) is just prelude to Aasif Mandvi's report on Alabama's new law designed to keep sharia law out of the state. By the end, it's hard not to feel bad for the collection of supporters of the law who agreed to join The Daily Show's panel. —Peter Weber
