Electronics chain RadioShack on Thursday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after struggling to reinvent itself in the digital age. The company said it would sell some 2,400 stores as part of the move. The 94-year-old company sought to rebrand itself in recent years, notably so with a self-deprecating commercial that aired during the 2014 Super Bowl. But with losses continuing to mount, RadioShack finally decided bankruptcy was the only option.
