Netflix announced Monday that it would immediately begin offering service in Cuba — with some restrictions.
The video streaming company said it would extend service to anyone in Cuba with an internet connection and international payment method, such as a credit card. However, Netflix said Cuban users would only be able to watch a "curated selection" of movies and TV shows; it did not specify the criteria for deciding what films and shows made the cut.
The move comes after the Obama administration last month eased trade and travel restrictions between the U.S. and Cuba.
