A new study has revealed that Alabama's support for same-sex marriage is the lowest in the country.

Researchers looked at a 2014 poll from the Public Religion Research Institute's American Values Atlas project and found that only 32 percent of Alabama residents supported same-sex marriage, while 59 percent were opposed to it. Among Americans overall, meanwhile, 54 percent support same-sex marriage, and 38 percent are opposed to it.
