Mark your calendars: The 2017 World Championships, in London, could be the setting for Usain Bolt's last sprint.

Bolt told the The Daily Mail that his initial plan was to retire after the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, "but my sponsor has asked me to go on for another year; to 2017 and London."

"But I'll be doing one event, the 100," he adds. "I can concentrate on that, and on retiring on a winning note."

Should Bolt win the 100-meter dash in Rio, he will become the first man ever to win three consecutive Olympic titles in the event.

"Over the years, I have said I want to become a legend," he said. "I want to be remembered as one of the greatest sportsmen ever."

He has two more years to accomplish the feat. Read the rest of his interview over at The Daily Mail.
