Dianne Feinstein urges Hillary Clinton to speak out about private email controversy

Hillary Clinton could face charges that she violated federal rules by using a private email account and server while she served as secretary of State, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, thinks the secrecy needs to end now.

Clinton "needs to step up and come out and state exactly what the situation is," Feinstein said on NBC's Meet the Press.

The former senator and first lady has already turned over 55,000 pages of emails, but the The New York Times revealed that those messages were selected by her staff and are an incomplete representation.

As a 2016 presidential hopeful, Feinstein added that Hillary's silence on the matter "is going to hurt her."
