Jon Stewart sighs over the media's G7 coverage: Wild speculation and Sound of Music tunes

While you were goofing around this weekend, President Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the other G7 leaders were in Germany "trying to save the world," Jon Stewart said on Tuesday's Daily Show. Since high-level discussions on Russia, climate change, ISIS, and Iraq aren't very funny, Stewart focused on how cable news covered the G7 summit. It turns out the folks at CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC didn't find those topics very fun, either.
So Stewart mocked the media's trivialization of the big summit, from debating whether Obama and Merkel had real or non-alcoholic beer for breakfast, wildly speculating about what was being said in photos and videos of leaders interacting, and singing Sound of Music tunes (even though The Sound of Music takes place in Austria, not the Bavarian Alps). The best part may be Stewart trying to pick showtunes for Fox News personalities (and Larry King) to sing for a speculative album. You can watch below. Peter Weber
