Vinyl records are bouncing back, but until now, the hipsters who love them had no easy way to make records of their own. Vinylify, a startup in the Netherlands, is changing that, said Paul Ridden at Gizmag. The company, which recently started taking international orders, uses the device shown here to cut 10-inch records ($55) one at a time, using the customer's own digital recordings or a mixtape-style assemblage of songs available through the website. Whether you want to create a keepsake demo of your garage band or send loved ones a special rendition of their favorite song cycle, you can also create a custom cover, using the site's design templates.
