Novak Djokovic wins U.S. Open, beating Roger Federer

Roger Federer may still be the best living men's tennis player, but he wasn't the best at the U.S. Open, losing in the finals to Novak Djokovic, in four sets: 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. It is Djokovic's second U.S. Open singles title and his 10th Grand Slam singles title, including his defeat of Federer in the finals at Wimbledon earlier this year. Federer, 34, and Djokovic, 28, have face each other 42 times, and now each has won 21 matches; Djokovic leads Federer in their 14 Grand Slam matches, 8 to 6. The crowd at Arthur Ashe stadium was audibly rooting for Federer.
