As House GOP prepares to select new speaker, John Oliver makes the case against Jason Chaffetz

On Thursday, House Republicans are voting to pick the congressman who will replace John Boehner as speaker. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is the presumptive favorite to win the caucus vote, then the full House election on Oct. 29, but Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) has been giving him a run for his money. On Sunday's Last Week Tonight, John Oliver explained why Chaffetz may not be the best candidate for leader of the House and second in line for the presidency. And he started by defending Chaffetz from the Secret Service's attempt to embarrass him by leaking his unsuccessful application to work for the Secret Service.
Not only was the Secret Service behaving "like a high school table of mean girls," Oliver said, but maybe worse, they were "so stupid they didn't realize that if you want to embarrass Jason Chaffetz, just wait and he will do it for you." He started with the congressman's unfortunate chart incident at a hearing on Planned Parenthood and then turned to Google. There is one possibly NSFW, vaguely euphemistic reference to oral bestiality, but if you want an unflattering preview of House Speaker Chaffetz, watch below. Peter Weber
