After edging out the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-2, in a hard-fought Game 5 of the National League Division Series on Thursday night, the New York Mets are going on to face the Chicago Cubs in the NL Championship Series, which starts Saturday night in New York. Daniel Murphy had a hand in all three of the Mets' runs, hitting a double off Dodgers starting pitcher Zack Greinke in the first inning, scoring the tying run in the fourth after stealing third base, and hitting the winning run, a solo homer, in the sixth. The Dodgers haven't won a World Series since 1988, and despite their fat $289 million payroll, they won't end that streak this year.
