Sometime this week, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will travel to Pyongyang, North Korea, to possibly meet with leader Kim Jong Un, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reports.

No additional details were revealed regarding the purpose of the trip or the exact date Ban will arrive, but a U.N. source said his visit could be used to revive nuclear disarmament talks, The Associated Press reports. Six months ago, Ban was scheduled to visit a factory in the North Korean city of Kaesong, but his invitation was abruptly rescinded; he did not plan to visit Pyongyang during that trip.
