Footage shows commuters evacuating Brussels train through smoke-filled tunnels

The Belgian capital was rocked by explosions at major transportation hubs early Tuesday morning, leaving as many as 34 people dead in attacks across Brussels. One of the explosions occurred at the Maelbeek metro station, which prompted authorities to shut down the city's entire metro, tram, and bus systems.

EurActiv's Evan Lamos was on a train traveling from the Arts-Loi metro station to the Maelbeek station when the train suddenly stopped, and a recording over the train's PA system reported an "incident on the line". Lamos then live-tweeted his experience as the scene unfolded:
