A new national poll by Fox News out Thursday revealed Hillary Clinton has nearly lost the gains she made on Donald Trump post-convention. After weeks of boasting big winning margins, Clinton is now only two points ahead of Trump, 41 percent to 39 percent. Her lead is within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, putting the candidates in a statistical tie.
Moreover, the poll showed third-party candidates Jill Stein and Gary Johnson firmly in the race, though still out of reach of the requisite 15 percent support needed to qualify for the presidential debates. Green Party candidate Stein snagged 4 percent, while Libertarian nominee Johnson landed 9 percent support.
The poll was conducted among 1,011 registered voters from Aug. 28 to 30.
