Stephen Colbert interviews Hugh Laurie in Heaven to see if Trump is right about dead voters

Donald Trump has been alleging that the estimated 1.8 million dead registered voters are voting Democrat this year. "Yes, if you believe Donald Trump, all the dead people are voting for Clinton," Stephen Colbert said on Wednesday night's live Late Show. "And if you believe his claims about her health, she's one of them." Colbert halfheartedly debunked Trump's election-rigging talk, then said he "wanted to find out if the dead really are voting, so I did what any journalist would do: I sacrificed an intern to the elder gods and reached through the veil of death to communicate with a 19th century voter," Horace McNulty.

McNulty, who you might recognize as Hugh Laurie, said he was a "lifelong Republican" but a "deathlong independent," and he confirmed that all the dead people in Heaven are voting against Trump. "So Trump is right, the system is rigged?" Colbert asked, and McNulty shook his head: "No, it's not rigged, you just look at the options. Gary Johnson? Jill Stein? They don't have a chance in hell — I know, 'cause I've got some friends down there." Watch below. Peter Weber
