Is running for president a "step down" from running casinos and golf courses? On Wednesday night, Donald Trump Jr. suggested exactly that in regards to his father's presidential run. "Unlike Hillary Clinton, who's gotten very rich being a politician, peddling American influence, he hasn't. This is only a step down," Trump Jr. said in an interview with Fox News after the third debate. "But he wants to make sure that all Americans, all ethnicities and backgrounds, have the same opportunities to do what he's been able to do: To start a great family, to start a great business."
Trump Jr. also cited this "step down" into politics as the reason his dad might not always hit the mark. He explained that because his dad hasn't "spent his whole life to be up on a debate stage like a career politician," he has a steeper learning curve. "He's learning. He's learning as he goes," Trump Jr. said. "Imagine, if he was doing this his whole life he'd be the greatest politician in the history of the world."
