where were you when the cubs won game 7

Over 40 million people watched Game 7 of the World Series

Over 40 million people watched the Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in the seventh and final game of the World Series on Wednesday night, making the contest the most-watched baseball game in 25 years. Game 7, which many have dubbed the best World Series game in history, was a 10-inning nail-biter that capped a rare comeback after the Cubs fell behind three games to one in the best-of-seven championship series.

"It was like a heavyweight fight, man," said Cubs second baseman Ben Zobrist, who was named World Series MVP. "Just blow for blow, everybody playing their heart out."

The 2016 World Series was a huge ratings success for Major League Baseball, as Game 5 was watched by more people than that evening's Sunday Night Football match-up between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles — the first time a World Series game has topped SNF since 2013.
