Megyn Kelly insists nothing revealed in her book could've brought down Donald Trump

Fox News' Megyn Kelly is certain it would have made no difference in the U.S. presidential election if she'd dished on Donald Trump before last week, and not after. Since Kelly released her memoir Settle for More on Tuesday, she's faced backlash for not disclosing more about the newly minted president-elect sooner. "'There's some information in here about Trump that she could have revealed before the election. Maybe it would have been in the public interest to do so. But instead, she saved it for her book,'" Today show host Savannah Guthrie said to Kelly, recounting criticism from some readers of the book. "How do you respond?"
Kelly responded by pointing to how Trump kept making her "the story" and she "didn't want to keep adding fuel to that fire." "I just wanted to move on," Kelly said. Moreover, she argued, with Trump's litany of controversies, one more woman's story likely wouldn't have done him in. "If the Access Hollywood bus and the 12 female accusers coming forward, and all the other stuff didn't bring him down, you think my book would?" Kelly said. "I think you're deluding yourself."
