The final trailer for Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown is 'like a punch in the gut'

The final season of Anthony Bourdain's CNN show Parts Unknown will premiere on Sept. 23, starting with the last episode Bourdain finished narrating and editing before dying by suicide in June. You get a taste of that episode, featuring a trip to Kenya with comedian and United Shades of America host W. Kamau Bell, in the final trailer for the final season. Along with footage from Kenya, the clip shows Bell watching parts of the episode and recalling the pressure and elation he felt traveling with Bourdain. "Everybody who had dreams of traveling with Tony, it's exactly as cool as you think it is," he said.
"If Tony was still alive, I would just have him here to help me process it," Bell says. "The greater context of the show and the reality and the fact that Tony's gone makes that like a — it's like a punch in the gut." The rest of the season was edited together after Bourdain's death, and it includes forays to Spain, Indonesia, West Texas, and Manhattan's Lower East Side. If you want to watch previous seasons, they are on Netflix until Oct. 1. Peter Weber
