Kellyanne Conway defends Trump's Ford comments, saying she's been 'treated like a Fabergé egg'

The White House is once again playing defense following some off-the-cuff comments made by President Trump.
During a rally Tuesday, Trump imitated Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, mockingly saying, "How did you get home? 'I don't remember.' How'd you get there? 'I don't remember.' Where is the place? 'I don't remember,'" per CNN. This drew criticism even from some Republicans, like Sen. Jeff Flake (Ariz.) and Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), both of whom are key swing votes in the Kavanaugh confirmation.
But White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is standing by Trump's comments. While speaking to reporters Wednesday, Conway said Ford has been "treated like a Fabergé egg" by everyone at the White House, including Trump. Defending Trump's specific comments, Conway said he was simply "pointing out factual inconsistencies," asking reporters if they've been able to "fill in her memory gaps." Conway also pushed back on the very idea that Trump had mocked Ford at all, saying that "mock" is the "lemming-like word you're all using together." Watch Conway's comments below. Brendan Morrow
