President Trump's post-midterms press conference Wednesday was among his most combative ever, with the president at one point getting into a stunning, heated exchange with CNN's Jim Acosta.
Acosta on Wednesday asked Trump about his decision to label the caravan of Central American migrants heading toward the United States an "invasion," which Trump defended by saying that it's his personal opinion. When Acosta said that the migrant caravan is not an invasion, but rather a group of migrants walking toward the southern border, Trump sarcastically responded, "Thank you for telling me that."
Acosta then pointed out that the migrants are still hundreds of miles away, which Trump didn't really have a response to, as he simply told Acosta, "I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN. And if you did it well, your ratings would be much better." When Acosta tried to ask another question, Trump repeatedly said "that's enough" and raised his voice as Acosta tried to get his question in. The president then physically walked away from the podium. "CNN should be ashamed of themselves having you working for them," he told Acosta. "You are a rude, terrible person."
