Nancy Pelosi is open to a Trump indictment

Nancy Pelosi

Just hours ahead of her expected election as House speaker, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is signaling that an indictment of President Trump could be possible.

Pelosi told Today in an interview broadcast Thursday that it's not "conclusive" that a sitting president can't be indicted, saying the Department of Justice guidance against indicting the commander-in-chief while he's in office is "not the law." She went on to say that it's clear that a president can be indicted after he has left office, but when it comes to a sitting president, it's an "open discussion."
