Al Pacino is ready to hunt some fictional Nazis
Director Jordan Peele must've made Al Pacino an offer he couldn't refuse.
Pacino is nearing a deal to land his first starring TV series role on Peele's new Amazon series, Deadline reports. He'll reportedly play a Nazi hunter on the aptly named The Hunt, which follows a fight to disband a Fourth Reich in 1977 New York City.
Amazon ordered a 10-episode season from the Get Out writer-director last year. Since then, Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman has been cast to play Jonah Heidelbaum, whose grandmother was killed in their apartment. Somehow, that leads him to join a Nazi hunting squad with Pacino's character as his mentor, Vanity Fair details. The show is apparently based on real-life events with an original twist.

Peele is slated to executive produce The Hunt along with David Weil, who created and will write the show. Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment will also produce, per Deadline.
While he's starred in TV miniseries before, this will be Pacino's first full-series role, Vanity Fair says. He's had a long and movie career before this — The Godfather and Scarface should ring a bell.
