There's speculation that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is nearly finished, but former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) isn't so sure.
Christie told Fox & Friends Tuesday that it "doesn't feel to me like [Mueller's] almost done," Mediaite reports. Christie's comments came a few days after President Trump's longtime adviser Roger Stone was indicted on seven counts, and Christie, a former U.S. attorney, said he thinks there's likely more to come. "I don't think he's ending on Roger Stone, but it might be."
Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said Monday that he thinks Mueller's investigation is "close to being completed." But while Christie said Whitaker "would know better than anybody" whether that's true, he noted that Mueller's team has been so secretive that "you just don't know what they're up to."
