Nearly 200 people are going on their third day trapped on an Amtrak train in Oregon.
A train carrying 183 passengers has been stuck near Oakridge since Sunday night, when it hit a tree that fell on the tracks, ABC News reports. The train was traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles, and an Amtrak spokesperson told ABC that they are "actively working" to clear the track and transport the passengers to Eugene and Portland. Amtrak says it decided to keep the passengers on the train because the power is out in Oakridge.
The train still has heat and power, and passengers have been given meals, but CNN reports that they were told on Tuesday morning that "breakfast was the last meal available." Amtrak had said crews would reach the train to clear the track by Tuesday morning, per The Associated Press.

One passenger told CNN that the whole thing has "been like a giant kumbaya party," with people "playing cards" and "dancing in aisles." But parents have reportedly run out of diapers for their children, and some people have had difficulty contacting their loved ones because cell phone reception is poor. The passenger also told CNN that some students are "panicked" because apparently, their professors don't think being trapped on a train for more than 30 hours is a good enough reason to miss class.
