Trump once said Pelosi should've impeached Bush 'for the war'
President Trump used to throw impeachment allegations around like they were nothing.
Sure, Trump suggested his political opponent, former President Barack Obama, be booted out of office on more than one occasion. But he also suggested former President George W. Bush should've been impeached as well, and faulted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for not doing so.
Trump's earlier mention of impeachment came in a CNN interview just before Obama's election in 2008, and he started it with a compliment for Pelosi. "I think she's a very impressive person, I like her a lot," he said, and suggested "It just seemed like she was really going to look to impeach Bush and get him out of office." When asked to expand on why he though Bush should be impeached, Trump exclaimed "for the war!" and "He got us into the war with lies!" He also said former President Bill Clinton's impeachment was over something "totally unimportant," calling it "nonsense."

Later on, Trump used his pre-presidential Twitter feed to suggest Obama be impeached for "incompetence." Trump also relayed the idea of impeaching Obama a number of times out loud, and at one point, gave Fox & Friends his opinion on what the impeachment process would do to Obama's mindset.
Trump's 2014 rant begs the question: Is he, like he suggested of Obama, "thinking about nothing but" impeachment? And is Trump, as he has reportedly denied, worried that it'll affect him forever?
