Best sport on TV this weekend: Tour de France, F1 Hungarian GP, Whyte vs. Parker

Cycling, boxing, women’s hockey, golf and Formula 1 promise exciting action over the next two days

There may be no league football at the moment but there’s still plenty of sport to enjoy.

2018 Tour de France

The world’s biggest cycling race holds its final two stages this weekend. Stage 20 is on Saturday and the final 21st stage takes place on Sunday. ITV4 will show live coverage of the Saint-Pee-sur-Nivelle to Espelette stage on Saturday from 10.45am to 4.40pm. Then on Sunday Britain’s Geraint Thomas will be hoping to celebrate a first Tour de France title when the race ends on the Champs-Elysées in Paris. ITV1’s coverage of the final stage starts at 3pm and ends at 6.30pm.

Whyte vs. Parker

There’s a heavyweight showdown to enjoy on Saturday night when British boxer Dillian Whyte takes on New Zealand’s Joseph Parker at The O2 in London. The ring-walk is expected to start at 10pm. Sky Sports Box Office will show live coverage of the fight – this costs £19.95.

Golf

Saturday and Sunday will see the final two rounds of the Porsche European Open from Hamburg in Germany. Both rounds will be live on Sky Sports. Live coverage of the third and fourth rounds of the Ladies Scottish Open from Gullane Golf Club will also be shown by Sky Sports.

F1 Hungarian Grand Prix

Sky Sports F1 will bring live coverage from the practice sessions, qualifying and race in Hungary. Channel 4 will show highlights.

Women’s Hockey

The 2018 Women’s Hockey World Cup continues this weekend with pool games at the Lee Valley Hockey Centre. England are in action against Ireland in pool B at 6.45pm on Sunday. All matches are live on BT Sport.
