A new poll from Public Policy Polling (PPP) surveyed 1,042 registered voters in Pennsylvania and found that 50 percent of Pennsylvanians believe Punxsutawney Phil "would do a better job than most current members of Congress."

Only 29 percent thought the groundhog wouldn't do better, and 21 percent were "not sure." The survey respondents had more faith in Puxsutawney Phil's Congressional abilities than his weather predictions, too: Only eight percent of those surveyed thought the groundhog seeing his shadow was a "reliable indicator of winter length."
