We probably should have known it was only a matter of time before the New York Jets topped the infamous butt fumble, but really? They couldn't even make it to a preseason game?

The team's latest headache came in the form of linebacker IK Enemkpali, who reportedly "sucker-punched" starting quarterback Geno Smith during a locker room dispute on Tuesday. The blow broke Smith's jaw, and head coach Todd Bowles said the quarterback will need surgery and is expected to miss six to 10 weeks of the season. That leaves the Jets' fate in the hands of backup Ryan Fitzpatrick, whose 2014 season with the Houston Texans ended with a broken leg.
