Sean Penn: I want to talk to El Chapo again
In one of the more bizarre intersections between celebrity and crime in recent memory, two-time Oscar winner Sean Penn interviewed notorious Mexican drug lord El Chapo for a Rolling Stone feature published just a day before his capture. And while that might sound like enough reason for El Chapo to avoid actor-cum-journalists for the rest of his life, Penn recently revealed he hopes to chat with El Chapo again someday.
"I hope to talk to him again, under whatever circumstances," said Penn in an interview with 60 Minutes. "While this article had its focus and its intention, I'm interested in asking more." Penn also added that he had assumed El Chapo would never allow himself to be captured alive, so maybe the odds of that second conversation aren't as low as they might have seemed.
