Stephen Colbert remembers Morley Safer

Longtime 60 Minutes correspondent Morley Safer died on Thursday, just weeks after announcing his retirement, and on Thursday's Late Show, Stephen Colbert took a minute to "say goodbye to a fantastic broadcaster that I had the honor to meet a few times," starting when Safer interviewed Colbert the first year he was doing The Colbert Report. You can watch Colbert recall first meeting Safer, cigarette in hand and cravat in place, and their last encounter, when Safer had switched to a vape pen. But the highlight is watching Safer himself, from the opening of an old Colbert Report episode, showing his lighter side. Peter Weber
