The Democratic Party's response to the Franken allegations had been a talking point for Republicans, who argued it was hypocritical to allow Franken to serve in Congress but call for GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore to drop out. Earlier this week, the Republican National Committee reinstated its support for Moore, who is accused of pursuing and sexually assaulting teenage girls.
