A dozen allegations of sexual assault, a history of degrading comments about women and the infamous "grab her by the p****" audio tape made Donald Trump a tough sell to female voters. In the end, women favoured Hillary Clinton by a margin of 54 per cent to 42 per cent – but it wasn't enough to keep Trump out of the White House.
