Located in the Devonshire countryside, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage is the ideal place to connect with nature and learn to make the most of your ingredients. Three-bird roast butchery class at the Ginger Pig
For most, tackling the turkey can be one of the more nerve-racking elements of putting together a Christmas meal. An evening under the guidance of award-winning butcher Ginger Pig, however, will help you put any fears aside. The company runs regular three-and-a-half hour classes out of its shops in Marylebone and Shepherd's Bush that give you a chance to try your hand at butchering different meats in a relaxed and informal setting, ending the experience with a two-course meal with wine. If you're feeling brave try your hand at a three-bird roast - based on partridge, guinea fowl and chicken - which you can then take home at the end of the night.
