With a pearl earring: Fendi’s limited edition Kim Jones capsule collection
First Kim Jones collection to arrive in boutique dazzles with jewellery by Delfina Delettrez Fendi
Following Kim Jones’s Fendi debut this February – a star-studded spectacle during Paris Haute Couture week that counted Demi Moore, Kate Moss and Bella Hadid among its cast – the Roman maison welcomes its fresh recruit with a capsule collection. Available for just two weeks from 15 April, the limited-edition Kim Jones Fendi offering looks to both the heritage brand’s archives and the London designer’s own first Fendi designs for inspiration.
For his spring/summer 2021 designs, Jones had listed Virginia Woolf and the work – and, in the case of Charlestone House, also the home – of the Bloomsbury Group among his influences. And so, the capsule collection includes Fendi Baguette and Peekaboo bags – both are house signature styles – finessed with pearls or prints that nod to the Bloomsbury Group’s visual legacy. The wardrobe is completed with draped satin dresses (gowns too make an appearance), cotton shirting and tailored separates fashioned from supple wool.
Corresponding jewellery has been dreamt up by Fendi family scion and newly-appointed house jewellery creative director Delfina Delettrez Fendi.

Jones’s designs are matched with a gold metal bracelet centred on a trio of bulbous, gobstopper pearls. One of the nacreous faux gems is emblazoned with a strass Karligraphy emblem – in tribute to Fendi’s late artistic director, the designer Karl Lagerfeld. The emblem also features on an original ear-cuff design, which Delettrez Fendi suggested should be worn single. Next, a necklace: extended from a slim golden metal chain is a baroque-shaped pearl, its white lustre matched with dainty drops of strass. Last, a signet ring, its escutcheon a tribute to Lagerfeld.
